How to enable Port 26 or any other port for SMTP in Mailenable windows Server

You may enable Port 26 or any other port for SMTP in your Dedicated windows Server’s Mailenable a mail client very easily.

Here are some steps which will let you know how through Remote desktop of your windows server you can enable port 26, so that you and your client can easily send mails using port 26.

1. Simply login to you remote desktop using Administrator credentials.
2. Go to start, write “Mailenable Administrator” in Search Programs and Files
3. Open Mailenable Administrator
4. In Mailenable Administrator Consol’s left side bar you will find many option
5. expand the option of “Servers”
6. Then expand LocalHost
7. Then expand Connectors
Here you will find the next icon of “SMTP”
8. Right click on SMTP, here you will find the option of “Properties” Click on this option, a table will be opened infront of you.

From this table Choose the option “Inbound”
A. Here you will find an option “also listen on alternate port” you may write the port nuber here whatever you want to listen for your smtp, usually 26.

Most probably even after making these changes you would be not able to send emails using port 26 or any other port.
So what is missing?

your server’s fire wall is blocking that port, you must create a rule which allow your smtp port.
Hopefully it will work to listen your port other than 25 for SMTP or for send emails.
