It is not a very common issue when one has a windows based hosting as this issue usually comes in windows hosting, bofore resolving this issue, i would like to tell you first what that issue exactly is.
While configuring a dedicated server an admin basically configure the binding not correctly in internet information service (IIS). But once you got the issue as you open you site as yourdomain.com it shows every thing fine but when you open it as https://yourdomain.com, it goes somewhere else, then if you are a user then you must complain your admin about it and admin should take these steps to resolve it.
open the remote desktop of dedicated server, Go to START>Administrative Tools>Internet Information Service Manager.
Before doing these steps you must be sure that with https:// which one site opens (basically all the sites in a dedicated server would be opened with https:// in the same fashion and the targeted site would be the same for all other hosted domains in that dedicated server), once you find the site which opens with https:// in place of exact domain then open that site in IIS.
Click on that domain in IIS and then on the right menu of IIS click on Edit Site>Binding
Here you will find entries with http and https, you need to remove if there is any entry with https. Once you
did so, your issue would be resolved, now you can check your domain will not be open with https://
