Delete Your Account
How to close your ServerSlot account, delete your personal data and what we are required to keep.
This page explains how to close your ServerSlot account and ask us to delete the personal data linked to it. The same process covers the website, the client area at control.serverslot.com and the ServerSlot mobile app published by SERVERSLOT LTD, because they all use one customer account.
1. Who this applies to
Anyone who has registered a ServerSlot account, placed an order, opened a support ticket or signed in to one of our apps can use this page. You do not need an active service to make a request. If you are acting for a company, the request must come from the account owner or an authorised contact listed on the account.
2. Before you ask
Deleting an account cannot be undone, and servers attached to it are wiped. Please check the following first:
- Back up anything you need. Server disks, snapshots and backups are destroyed when services end and cannot be recovered afterwards.
- Cancel active services. Any VPS, RDP or dedicated server still running will be cancelled as part of the request, without a refund for the remaining period, as set out in our Refund & Delivery Policy.
- Settle open invoices. An account with unpaid invoices can be closed, but the amount stays payable and the billing record is kept until it is resolved.
- Download your invoices. If you need copies for your own accounts, save them from the client area before the account is closed.
3. How to request deletion
Choose whichever route suits you. Each one reaches the same team.
- From the client area (fastest). Sign in at control.serverslot.com, open a ticket in the Billing department with the subject “Account deletion request”, and say whether you want the whole account closed or only some data removed. Because you are signed in, we can usually skip the extra verification step.
- Using the form below. Useful if you cannot sign in, for example because you no longer have the password or use the app only.
- By email. Write to info[@]serverslot.com from the email address registered on the account, with “Account deletion request” in the subject line.
4. Deletion request form
This form is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
5. Confirming it is you
To stop anyone else closing your account, we reply to the email address registered on the account and ask you to confirm the request. If the address you used in the form does not match an account, we will tell you, but we will not reveal whether any other account exists. Requests that are not confirmed within 14 days are closed, and you can start again at any time.
6. What we delete
Once the request is confirmed, we delete or permanently anonymise:
- your profile: name, company name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- sign-in details, security settings, two-factor keys and sub-account users;
- saved payment tokens held by our payment processors on our behalf;
- contacts, notes and preferences stored on the account;
- data stored by the mobile app on our systems, such as sign-in sessions and notification tokens;
- every server, disk, snapshot and backup still attached to the account.
7. What we keep, and for how long
UK law and fraud prevention require us to keep a small amount of information after an account is closed. It is stored securely, used only for these purposes and deleted when the period ends:
- Invoices and payment records: six years from the end of the financial year in which they were issued, as required by UK company and tax law.
- Records of abuse, fraud or chargebacks: up to two years after the account is closed, so that the same activity can be recognised if it happens again.
- Support ticket history: up to twelve months after closure, in case a dispute about the service is raised. Personal details in the tickets are removed sooner where we can do so.
- Server and security logs: kept on a rolling basis of up to 90 days and then overwritten.
If a law enforcement request or legal claim is open when you ask, the data it concerns is kept until the matter is resolved.
8. Deleting some data only
You do not have to close the account to remove information. You can ask us to delete a saved payment method, old contacts, a phone number or the content of past tickets while keeping your services running. Choose the second option in the form, or say so in your ticket or email, and list what you want removed.
9. Timescales
We act on confirmed requests within one month, and usually within seven days. We email you when the account has been closed. Data held in our encrypted backups expires on its normal cycle within a further 30 days and is not restored in the meantime.
