Can I access Bahraini eGovernment and Benefit services?
Yes. Bahrain's eGovernment portal, Benefit-linked payment pages and ministry services work in a browser on your Manama desktop, and the Bahraini IP makes your session appear local. Authentication typically uses your eKey or a code sent to your Bahraini mobile number, so keep that phone or app available. Residents who travel frequently, and Saudi residents with Bahraini commercial registrations, use the desktop to renew documents, pay fees and download certificates without battling foreign-access restrictions. Protect the desktop with a strong password, since it may hold sensitive documents.
How does the free IP change work?
Each Bahrain RDP includes one free change of IP address. If you need a different address, for example because a service you use has flagged your current IP or you want to separate a new project, open a ticket and our team will assign another clean Bahraini address. Further changes after the first cost $5 each. IPs are screened for abuse history before they are allocated, so most customers never need to change, but the option gives peace of mind for traders and businesses whose access depends on a trusted address.
Can I prepay for a long period?
Yes. You can pay monthly or prepay for any period up to two years at once. Long prepayments are popular with expatriates who spend extended periods outside Bahrain and do not want to risk an expired card interrupting access to their accounts. The desktop, its IP and your files remain exactly as they are throughout the prepaid term, and you can still upgrade to a larger plan, with the remaining balance credited fairly toward the new one. Prepaid terms are also handy for small Bahraini companies that budget annually and prefer one invoice that their accountant can file against the year.
Which plan suits a trader?
For one or two MetaTrader terminals with expert advisors, the two-core plan with 4 GB is usually enough. If you run several brokers, heavy indicators or backtesting, the four-core plan with 8 GB or the eight-core plan with 16 GB gives more headroom. All plans use SSD storage and stay online around the clock in a Tier III facility. Check that your broker allows trading from a remote desktop and secure your trading accounts with two-factor authentication, especially if you manage client funds.
Can Saudi residents use a Bahrain desktop for business?
Many do. Saudi residents who own or manage companies registered in Bahrain, or who bank with Bahraini institutions, use the Manama desktop to access Sijilat for commercial registrations, local banking and supplier portals from a Bahraini IP. This avoids repeated verification when logging in from Saudi networks and keeps business documents in one secure place. Staff in both countries can be given individual accounts on the same desktop, which suits small cross-border businesses. Because the desktop never leaves Manama, the commercial records, invoices and bank statements it stores stay in Bahrain, which some owners prefer for their own bookkeeping.
Is 100 Mbps fast enough for a remote desktop?
Yes. Remote desktop sessions transmit compressed screen updates, which use only a small fraction of 100 Mbps even at high resolution. The port speed matters more for downloads and uploads, where 100 Mbps lets you move large files and install updates quickly. Monthly transfer allowances range from 1,000 GB to 6,000 GB depending on the plan, far above what typical remote work consumes. If you plan unusually heavy transfers, choose one of the larger plans. In practice, a dozen people working at once would still use only part of the port.
Can I switch my Windows version later?
Yes. While keeping your Bahraini location and IP, you can ask our support team to change your desktop to a different Windows edition at any time. This is useful if you start on a Windows 10 desktop for personal use and later need a Server edition so colleagues can log in, or if a particular application requires a specific version. Reinstalling resets the system disk, so back up your files before requesting the change. Our engineers usually complete such a switch within a few hours and confirm by ticket once you can log in again.
How quickly is a Bahrain desktop delivered?
Most Bahrain desktops are deployed within minutes of payment confirmation, and occasionally within a few hours if manual checks are needed, but never days. An email then arrives with the Bahraini address and your Administrator credentials, and the built-in Windows client or the Microsoft app on a phone opens the session straight away.
