Is the IP address really from Kuwait?
Yes. Your desktop's address is private to you and registered as Kuwaiti, so Sahel, bank portals and delivery apps treat you as a resident. This is the key feature that makes the desktop useful for accessing government services, banks and local platforms. The server itself is hosted in a Tier III Middle Eastern facility with routing designed for the region. Geolocation databases occasionally lag behind changes, so if a particular service shows an incorrect country, contact support and we will investigate and request corrections where possible.
What does 1 to 20 Mbps dedicated speed mean?
Rather than sharing a large port with many users, each Kuwaiti desktop receives a dedicated share of bandwidth between 1 and 20 Mbps depending on the plan. This is plenty for remote desktop sessions, browsing, banking and office work, because RDP transmits screen updates efficiently. It is not intended for large downloads or streaming high-definition video continuously. If you need more bandwidth for a particular task, ask our team about the options available. The dedicated allocation helps keep performance consistent throughout the day.
Can I access Kuwaiti banking safely through the RDP?
Many customers use their Kuwaiti desktop to reach online banking while travelling. To stay safe, use a strong, unique password for the desktop, keep Windows updated, enable two-factor authentication on your bank account and avoid installing unknown software on the same machine. Always follow your bank's terms and security advice. Because your credentials are entered inside a controlled environment with a consistent Kuwaiti IP, banks are less likely to flag the login as suspicious, but you remain responsible for protecting your accounts.
Why is Kuwait RDP more expensive than other locations?
Kuwaiti IP addresses and hosting capacity in the Gulf are more limited and costly to obtain than in large markets like Europe or India. Providing dedicated geolocated addresses, Tier III hosting and reserved bandwidth for each desktop costs more, which is reflected in the price. For users who specifically need a Kuwaiti presence, there are few alternatives. If you only need a Gulf location in general, our UAE or Bahrain desktops may be more economical, and our team can help you decide.
Which Windows edition should I choose?
Choose Windows Server 2019 unless you have a specific reason not to. It supports current browsers, security updates and modern applications, making it the best choice for banking, office work and general use. Keep 2012 R2 for the odd ageing ERP client that refuses newer builds. Either way, RDP and multiple logins work out of the box. If you change your mind, our support team can reinstall the other edition, but back up your files first. Most Kuwaiti bank portals are tested on current browsers that run best on 2019.
Can several family members or staff use one desktop?
Yes. Windows Server lets you create separate user accounts, so family members or employees can each log in with their own credentials while sharing the same desktop and Kuwaiti IP. This is useful for households managing several bank accounts or small businesses with a few remote staff. Keep sensitive accounts separated with strong individual passwords. For several people using the desktop at the same time, choose one of the larger plans and ensure you have the appropriate Remote Desktop licences.
How is the 99.9 percent uptime guaranteed?
The Tier III facility is designed with redundant power, cooling and network connections, allowing maintenance without switching off customer systems. Combined with KVM virtualisation and continuous monitoring, this supports a 99.9 percent uptime commitment, which means only a few minutes of potential downtime per week at most. In practice, most customers experience long periods without any interruption. If a problem does occur, our support team works with the facility to restore service as quickly as possible. Planned maintenance is announced in advance.
Can I pay for a Kuwait RDP with a card from my home country?
Yes, and this is one of the reasons expatriates like the service. Kuwaiti merchants sometimes decline cards issued in India, Egypt or the Philippines, but we accept international Visa and Mastercard regardless of the issuing country, along with PayPal and cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and USDT. Invoices are raised in US dollars every month, so your bank handles the conversion. If you will be away from Kuwait for an extended period, paying several months upfront avoids the risk of an expired card interrupting access to your Kuwaiti accounts at an inconvenient moment.
