Is Vilnius a good location for a licensed fintech company?
Lithuania has licensed a large number of electronic money and payment institutions, and many of them keep dashboards, APIs and internal tools close to their Vilnius compliance teams. A local VPS offers short routes to Lithuanian banks and partners, keeps data within the EU and provides a stable platform on KVM with reserved resources. Regulatory requirements differ between licence types, so confirm your obligations with your compliance adviser. Because the server is unmanaged, your team controls access, logging and encryption, which simplifies evidencing security measures.
What does concurrent maintainability mean for my server?
It means the data centre can take any single component of its power or cooling systems out of service for maintenance or replacement without shutting down the servers it supports. Redundant paths carry the load while one path is being worked on. For you, that means planned maintenance at the facility should not interrupt your server. It is a core requirement of Tier III design, and it is especially valuable for payment services and SaaS platforms that cannot schedule downtime easily.
Can I host a game server for Baltic and Polish players?
Yes. Vilnius has short routes to Riga, Tallinn, Warsaw and Minsk, so players across the region enjoy low latency. KVM with reserved cores keeps tick rates stable, and NVMe storage speeds up world loading and saves. DDoS mitigation helps protect against the attacks that gaming servers often attract. Choose a plan with enough memory for your player count and mods; popular titles such as Minecraft, Counter-Strike 2 and Rust run comfortably on mid-range plans for small and medium communities. Weekend tournaments are covered by the same filtering.
Will Lithuanian letters display correctly?
Yes. Lithuanian uses characters such as ą, č, ę, ė, į, š, ų, ū and ž, and they display correctly with UTF-8, which our images use by default. Create databases with utf8mb4 and a Lithuanian collation for proper alphabetical sorting. Lithuanian .lt domains with diacritics resolve through punycode as usual. If you are migrating a site that used Windows-1257, convert it during the move so that product names, addresses and articles do not appear with garbled characters. Search inside the database will also match accented and unaccented forms correctly once the collation is set.
How soon will my Vilnius server be online?
Most Lithuanian servers go live within a few hours of payment clearing, and the maximum is one day. The welcome email includes your IP address, login details and a link to the client area. Chosen control panels are installed before delivery. Saturday and Sunday orders are handled the same way. Tie-ins with a Bank of Lithuania licence milestone or a customer go-live can be noted on the order, and we will schedule around them. You will also find the rescue console link in the welcome email.
Can I run Windows-based trading or accounting software?
Yes. The three Windows editions listed on this page carry no premium over Linux in Vilnius. Trading terminals, accounting packages and CRM tools that require Windows run natively under KVM, and staff can connect from anywhere over Remote Desktop. Trading terminals are memory-hungry, so size RAM by the number of terminals rather than by users alone. Confirm that your software licences allow installation on a virtual server before deploying. Licence terms for virtual machines vary by vendor, so check yours first.
Can I add IPv4 addresses for separate services?
Yes. Extra Vilnius addresses can be bought while ordering or at any later point, as long as the local pool still has space. Fintech and SaaS companies often use separate addresses for public APIs, customer dashboards and administrative interfaces, allowing tighter firewall rules for each. Reverse DNS can be configured for every address. Request additional IPs well before a launch or regulatory submission, since IPv4 space is limited and allocation may take a little time. Keeping the admin interface on its own address also lets you allow-list it for office IPs only.
What does support include for Vilnius servers?
Our engineers are responsible for the infrastructure beneath your operating system. They replace failed hardware, force-restart servers that stop responding, reinstall operating systems on request and investigate network issues at the Vilnius facility. Inside the VM, software, updates and security configuration are your responsibility. That division keeps prices low and gives you complete control. Tickets are staffed at every hour, and if the fault is on your side we will still describe what the host and network show, which often shortens the hunt considerably.
