Can I use an India RDP for NSE or BSE trading?
Yes. Many customers install their broker's desktop terminal, charting tools or algorithmic trading software on a Delhi RDP so it can run throughout market hours without depending on a home connection or laptop battery. The remote desktop stays online continuously in a data centre with backup power. Keep in mind that brokers and exchanges have their own rules on algorithmic trading and API use, and you must follow them. For several terminals or heavy charting, choose at least an eight-core plan with 6 GB of memory for a smooth experience.
Is the IP address located in India?
Yes. Each Delhi desktop receives a dedicated IPv4 address that geolocates to India. Banks, government portals, payment services and streaming or advertising platforms will see your session as originating in India. The address is assigned only to your desktop, so its reputation is not affected by other users. Some services use their own location databases, which may show Delhi or a nearby region, but the country will be India. If a particular site misidentifies the location, let us know and we will look into it.
How does an NRI use an Indian RDP safely?
Connect to your Delhi desktop from abroad using the Remote Desktop app, then use Indian banking and government websites inside that session. Protect the desktop with a strong unique password, keep Windows updated, and enable two-factor authentication on every account you access. Avoid installing unknown software on the same desktop you use for banking. Many NRIs dedicate one small RDP exclusively to financial tasks and use a separate one for other work, which keeps the sensitive environment clean. Keep your Indian mobile number active for OTPs.
Can I install Tally or other accounting software?
Yes. You have full Administrator rights, so you can install Tally, Busy, Marg, QuickBooks or any other accounting software with a valid licence. Many small businesses and chartered accountants host their accounting data on an RDP so partners and staff can access the same company files from different cities. For multi-user Tally setups, choose a Windows Server edition and a plan with enough memory for concurrent sessions. Regular backups of company data to another location are strongly recommended. TallyPrime's remote access features also work well here.
Which Delhi plan should I start with?
For a single lightweight task, such as one trading terminal or a monitoring script, the two- or four-core plan is enough. For a general-purpose Windows desktop with a browser, office tools and messaging apps, start with the six-core plan and 4 GB of memory. If several people will use the desktop or you run heavier software like data analysis tools, the ten- or twelve-core plans with 8 to 10 GB provide more headroom. You can upgrade later without losing your files or IP address.
Is traffic unlimited on India RDP plans?
Yes. All Delhi desktops include unmetered traffic on a 10 Gbps shared port, so you can download updates, sync cloud storage and transfer files without worrying about monthly caps. The port is shared across the host server, which means speeds are very high but can vary slightly when many users are active. Usage must follow our acceptable use policy, which prohibits spam, attacks and illegal content. For normal work, trading and marketing tasks, bandwidth is effectively never a limitation. Streaming video for hours is fine too.
Can I run marketing and automation tools?
You can run social media schedulers, SEO crawlers, rank trackers and browser automation tools on your Indian desktop, as long as your usage complies with the terms of the platforms involved and our acceptable use policy. Automation that sends spam or manipulates platforms abusively is not allowed and will lead to suspension. Tools that open many browser profiles need more memory, so choose a plan with at least 6 to 8 GB. Running tools on an always-on desktop means reports and schedules continue even when you are offline.
What happens if I forget my RDP password?
If you lose access to your desktop, open a support ticket from your client area. After verifying your identity, our team can reset the Administrator password through the hosting platform, usually within a short time. We recommend storing your credentials in a password manager and creating a second administrator account for emergencies. If your desktop has been compromised or misconfigured, we can also reinstall Windows, although this erases the system disk, so keep backups of important files elsewhere. Keeping an offline copy of your login helps.
